What is Documents in the News?
Posted by wastatelib on August 18, 2006
The purpose of Documents in the News is to help anyone (particularly Washington State residents) find government reports, statistics, legislation, etc that may have been referenced in current newspaper articles. We hope that this will be a useful tool in providing open access to local, state and federal government information for residents; but we also know it can be helpful for other librarians who may have patrons looking for a publication that was mentioned in their local paper. The site is updated on a daily basis. If you visit our site, you will see that we link the full-text of the article to the headline, provide a brief description of the article, and link any relating government documents and/or contact information. All of these articles are archived after about a month so that individuals can find the documents by subject. If you have questions about the project or would like more information, please contact Herrick Heitman at hheitman@secstate.wa.gov or Zola Maddison at zmaddison@secstate.wa.gov.
