Event Rewind: Knappton Cove
Posted by wastatelib on October 18, 2006
Last Thursday, over 70 people attended our first event of the season: Nancy Bell Anderson presenting on “The Columbia River’s Ellis Island–the Story of Knappton Cove.” The crowd in attendance learned how this Washington port of call functioned as an immigration quarantine site, how the property passed into Nancy’s family, and how Nancy and her husband Rex have cared for and preserved this Historic Place. Pictures of the event can be found here. What a fabulous way to start off this year’s Events series. Thanks, Nancy and Rex!
