Event Rewind: General George Pickett

Wow! Over 140 people joined us at the State Library last Thursday to witness Mike Vouri and Mike Cohen in “The Life and Times of General George E. Pickett.” Folks who crowded into the reading room and the overflow room got to see a great show, full of history, emotion, and song! In addition, State Librarian Jan Walsh was present to roll out this fall’s Washington Reads selections. Thanks to Mike (General Pickett) and Mike (troubadour extraordinaire), Jan, all our wonderful visitors (some of whom enjoyed the show despite less than optimal seating), and all the volunteers who made this event possible.
