Event Rewind: Uppity Women

Posted by wastatelib on March 16, 2007

Wow!  Over 120 uppity women (and some uppity men too) joined us at the State Library on Wednesday to hear author Susan Butruille present “Tea, True Womanhood, and Uppity Women.”  The folks in attendance heard about some of the women who challenged the social structures of their time and forged new pathways in the west.  From the opening sing-along to the closing book signing, a grand time was had by all.  A DVD of Susan’s presentation will be available for checkout at the Library shortly, but until then you can enjoy our pictures on Flickr.  Thanks, Susan!
